Dear Instructors and Students:

Queens Taekwon-Do Center and I cordially invite you to the XVI New York Taekwon-Do Tournament to be held September 25, 2011 in the Fitzgerald Gymnasium of Queens College, located at 65-30 Kissena Blvd. Flushing, NY 11367.

After 13 wonderful years of competition at LaGuardia Community College, the New York Taekwon-Do Tournament changed venues in 2009. This will be our third year at Queens College, a place that is easily accessible and provides private parking, as well as cafeteria service. Three times the size of our previous location, this site has a capacity for 1,600 people and 22,800 sq ft which holds eight 9 x 9 rings.

This new location has better allowed us to accommodate both our competitors and spectators, and has enabled our event to grow even further. The size of this facility makes it possible for us to hold a one-day event instead of the usual two, allowing everyone to save not only time but also money in hotel accommodations and transportation.

As one of the biggest I.T.F. competitions in the United States, we are always looking for ways to improve the functional and competitive aspects of our event. We truly hope this year will be another to remember. We also hope that with your participation our event continues to support the world-wide effort to continue General Choi Hong-Hi’s Legacy.
