The 41st International Instructors Course was held on March 20th, 21st and 23rd at the Garden School Gym, in Queens, New York. 137 Taekwon-Do practitioners gathered at this venue, including 12 Masters and 50 4th, 5th and 6th Degree Instructors from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, England, Guatemala, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Finland, Jamaica, Mexico, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Scotland and USA.

The event was conducted by the ITF Technical Committee comprised by Master Hector Marano, 8th degree black belt and Director of the Technical Committee; Master Wim Bos, 8th degree black belt and Secretary-General of the ITF and Master Pablo Trajtenberg, 8th degree black belt and Sr. Vice President of the ITF. The seminar program covered, teaching the Do, the 24 patterns, free sparring, self defense as well as physical conditioning.

Eighteen people tested for 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Degrees. Master Pierre Laquerre from Canada and Master Fabian Nunez from USA were promoted to 8th Degree. It was a good opportunity to share the spirit of Taekwondo-Do with other practitioners, to renew old friendships and make new ones.

This seminar was very dynamic and there was great involvement from participants who were eager to learn and practice the techniques covered. The Indomitable Spirit was present at all times.

On Saturday the 21st most of the participants enjoyed an exquisite and abundant Rodizio Brazilian dinner banquet to honor the members of the Technical Committee. Representatives from organizations present were recognized with a wooden replica of the Turtle Taekwon-Do plaque.
I would like express my appreciation to all and everyone who contributed to the success of this event and look forward to host a similar one in a near future.

Sincerely yours,

Master Ruben Suarez
